The Computer Science and Cyber Security proramme at the Unviersity of Kurdistan Hewlêr oranised a seminar for its students on cyber threat huntin, delivered by Mr Diyar Saadi.

The seminar explored the proactive techniques of threat hunting, with a focus on uncovering and disrupting adversary infrastructure such as Command and Control (C2) servers, payload hosting sites, and malware distribution networks. It covered malware analysis, reverse engineering, and practical threat hunting methodologies using tools like VirusTotal, Abuse.ch, Censys, and Virtrack. Participants will learn how attackers set up their operations, how to track and dismantle their infrastructures, and how early detection can prevent larger cyberattacks.

Diyar Saadi is a cybersecurity expert specialising in cybercrime investigations, real-time security event monitoring, and malware analysis. He has a certified SOC analyst and proud MITRE ATT&CK contributor.
