UKH Announces Face to Face Teaching Mode for the New Academic Year

University of Kurdistan Hewlêr (UKH) has announced to its’ students that the new academic year (2021-2022) will start with face to face teaching mode. This decision was made after the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG)’s Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research issued guidance regarding academic year 2021-2022 in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.

The guidance is that all classes (theory, practical and lab) should be on Campus (face to face). This is welcome as the educational disadvantage of on-line teaching has been detrimental to students.

The guidance also states that IT platforms used for e-learning should remain active and used for backing up taught material and for teacher-student learning related communication.

“As the new UKH President I am writing to update you on plans for the start of term at UKH amidst the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. And to give you a commitment to delivering the highest quality student experience at UKH. It is a huge priority for me.” Said UKH President Bill Rammell in an email he sent to UKH students earlier this month.
