A delegation from International Religious Freedom (IRF)
Roundtable of Iraq visited the University of Kurdistan Hewlêr (UKH). The
delegation was received by Dr. Heja Sindi, UKH Acting Vice President and Dr.
Bayar Mustafa, Dean of the School of Social Sciences.
The IRF Roundtable delegation commended UKH being a leading
institution in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq. Areas of mutual cooperation and
activation of the roundtable were discussed, especially to deepen religious
freedom and coexistence among students in all academic institutions in the
Kurdistan Region and Iraq.
“IRF Iraq looks forward to cooperation with UKH, this
includes holding seminars and conferences, giving lectures and presentations on
religious freedom to UKH students and staff”, said Amir Mawlud, KRG Coordinator
of the Roundtable.
Dr. Sindi expressed UKH’s readiness to cooperate with IRF on
their projects. He also briefed the delegation on UKH’s excellent experience of
coexistence, religious and ethnic freedoms.
