During the opening session it was announced to the public that the Center was the outcome of a non-yielding collaborative effort between many internal organs of the university including the postgraduate students, faculty members and the university IT department. The Center was established with the financial support of the EU Regional Trust Fund in Response to the Syrian Crisis and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.
