University of Kurdistan 10th Graduation Ceremony

The University of Kurdistan held its 10th graduation ceremony for the class of 2019 on Wednesday, 30th October 2019 under the auspicious of the university Chancellor Idris Nechirvan Barzani and the presence of the university’s Governing Board, faculty members and graduates’ families.  

The University of Kurdistan awarded 134 degrees to students from both undergraduate and postgraduate studies in the schools of Science and Engineering, Social Sciences and School of Business. Having topped the national universities ranking list, the University of Kurdistan spares no efforts to stay as the leading university in the region.  

After welcoming the attendees and the guests, the ceremony started with the graduates’ speech, read by Aveen Falah, graduate of Business and Management. Aveen thanked the university Chancellor, her parents and colleagues for their support and enthusiasm, considering each of the graduating students as “success stories” after dedicating many years of their lives to their studies.

The Chancellor of the university Idris Nechirvan Barzani later took the stage to give his speech. The Chancellor expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the continues commitment and support of the Founder of the University His Excellency Nechirvan Barzani, President of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. Addressing the graduates and their families, “today is the realization of the vision of the Founder and former Chancellor, H.E Nechirvan Barzani” noted the Chancellor. He also pledged to continue with the same vision of the Founder, opening doors of opportunity for everyone.

The event continued with joy and laughter as the graduates started receiving their degrees, promising to stay committed to the vision and education they’ve been gifted by Kurdistan’s leading university.
