Primary School Students Take Coding Session at UKH

Thirteen students from the Danielle Mitterrand French School attended a coding training day at the University of Kurdistan Hewlêr.

The learning session was organized by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering’s lecturers and students as part of the International Scratch Day and held in the American Corner of UKH Library.

The mentors used the Scratch programming language designed by MIT Media Labs for kids and early beginners. The kids were given a brief introduction to programming language and two practical workshops on Scratch instructions with examples and the Thymio robot programming using Scratch. At the end of the training, certificates of participation were given to the students.
