October is International Breast Cancer Awareness month, in which campaigns are held worldwide to raise awareness about the disease.
On October 27, UKH School of Medicine (SOM) organised a special session to raise awareness and discuss strategies to combat breast cancer. The session was attended by faculty members, students and a breast cancer survivor.
Through this event, SOM aims to engage professional health care students in an educational, hands-on activity that increases their knowledge about breast cancer, prevention strategies, and their role as future professionals in patient education. Another objective is to educate, inform, and empower individuals and communities to take actions against breast cancer.
