Reading Seminars Series 2018 Part One: Academic Reading (Week 1)

On Wednesday, January 3, 2018, Mr. Edward Bassett facilitated a workshop on techniques and strategies for Academic Reading. He highlighted different types of texts that are generally used for academic reading. He then focused on the reading methods and strategies including ‘skimming’ and ‘scanning’. The participants then engaged in a few reading exercises to provide practical experience for the techniques taught.
