ACE visited by Acting Ambassador

April 10, 2019 - We had the honor of receiving Mr. Joey Hood, Chargé d’Affaires (and Acting Ambassador) of the U.S. Mission to Iraq at the American Corner Erbil (ACE) at UKH Library. He spent time talking to the participants of Drop Everything And Read (D.E.A.R) Seminar about reading culture and had a short discussion with Ms. Lesley A T Gaj, Director of Library and ACE on the successful working model that ACE is demonstrating in providing a space that promotes and facilitate linkages and relationships between across a range of fields including education, English language programs, engagement with local youth, entrepreneurship and others. To date, ACE is the most active American Space in Iraq. He ended the tour with media briefing on state U.S. current affairs in Iraq.
