On Thursday, 24 April 2025, the University of Kurdistan Hewlêr (UKH) proudly welcomed back Saya Sarhad, a distinguished alumna of the Petroleum Engineering Class of 2022, for a special presentation to current Petroleum Engineering students.
Saya, the first person in Iraq to be selected for the prestigious TotalEnergies Scholars programme, shared insights into her academic journey and professional experience. She offered valuable perspectives on career development as well as the future opportunities for UKH students to shine in the global stage after graduation.
The presentation was followed by an engaging Q&A session, where students had the opportunity to interact with Saya, ask questions, and gain practical advice from her experiences.
